Yesterday, I saw Pandorum! Very scary movie, I loved it! I actually had a dream about it. Fortunately it was during the end of the movie (happy ending) and not about the beginning.
I was in an ocean. I had just awoken from a deep sleep. I climbed onto a metal structure that was sticking out of the water. Off in the distance I saw that there was a land mass. I gazed at it and saw how lush and beautiful it was. I could just make out a small child coming over the edge of a cliff. I saw more children and people coming over the edge of the cliff and then walking to the beach down below. They were all waiting for me. I swam to them and walked onto the beach. A little girl came over to me and I gave her a huge hug. The rest of the people surrounded me and gave me hugs. I was home at last.
Interpretation - Dream 1
Symbols
ocean - represents conscious life experiences and existence. Same as water, but much more vast in its scope.
land - represents subconscious existence, the permanent you.
cliff - an obstacle to overcome.
child - developing aspect of self, a new idea.
hug - hmm, what is a hug? I'm taking it to mean a show of affection and a greeting between friends.
people - aspects of self. Persons of the opposite sex represent subconscious aspects of self.
Rough Meaning
This dream is probably a message asking me to "wake up"; to put my conscious life experiences into proper perspective (I climbed out of the water and looked toward the land while I was in the ocean). The conscious waking life is to be used for gaining permanent understandings and storing them in the permanent self (the subconscious - the storehouse of all understandings built within self). My subconscious mind is waiting for me to realize this and embrace it ( I was giving all the children and women hugs). Its saying, "Wake up and discover who you really are!" , but in a pleasant way. The same message could just have easily been made into a nightmare! A nightmare is a dream where the dreamer is not in control. Nightmares represent a refusal by the conscious mind to progress/learn something. This has the effect of drawing Karma to one's self (usually not in a way that is pleasant to experience)
