My girlfriend and I were on a campus somewhere in Pennsylvania. It was winter. We had crashed through a roof somehow after skiing. I had injured my leg and couldn't walk. My girlfriend left to go and get some hot food to bring back to me. I got up and started walking through the dormatory. I saw that some students were lounging around and gearing up for the Texas Hold'em World Championship, which was going to be held in Pennsylvania. I continued on down some stairs to the first floor and went outside the dorm. There was a parade going on down the street and I pulled out my iPhone to take some pictures. I used mapQuest on the iPhone to locate the central building that had the cafe in it. I limped to the cafe and walked inside. I found my girlfriend in line and getting food. I sat down and she brought me the plate. I told her that I didn't want to make her walk all the way back so I hurried to get here. The food smelled wonderful.
Interpretation - Dream 1
Symbols - nouns that appear in the dream
Pennsylvania - represents many different frames of mind coming together to make up a whole way of thinking
snow - represents frozen pathways of brain knowledge. Pathways that you have already experienced and provide nothing new. Winter is a time of ice and frozen movement. Usually when I see winter or snow dreams it means that I'm following a path that I have already been down and need to do something new in order to create learning. That doesn't mean up and leave Indiana or something like that, it just means that I need to think and use my daily experiences more productively. Easy to do, right!? LOL
girlfriend - subconscious aspect that represents unity of subconscious and conscious minds
roof - shelter for a state of mind
injury - something that is either out of harmony with universal law, or is retarding progress in some way
leg - ability to move forward
dormatory - not completely sure about this one, but I think we can reason it out! What is the function of a dorm? It is to house students (since it was on a compus). Students are aspect of self that are interested in learning. So, a dorm a represents a place in mind that contains many different aspects of self that are interested in learning. When you are learning something you use certain aspects that you have developed in order to understand something. Well, your mind keeps track of all of those aspects by placing them in a certain area of your mind. Its efficient that way, because now your mind can simply referrence the dorm and all of your learning tools are there!
card game - I'm not sure about this one, but lets reason it out! Ok, a game is a way of understanding a challenge. When you play a game you make choices that lead to winning or loosing (usually). This is much like cause and effect. Think about it as when you are saying to yourself, "Now, if I do this then I know this will happen..." Its just like playing a game with yourself. You're trying to figure out a course of action. Awesome!
students - aspects of self that are learning, or interested in learning
first floor - represents the conscious mind, second floor would represent the subconscious mind, and third floor would represent the superconscious mind.
parade - Get used to me saying, "I'm not sure about this one!" I run into new symbols all the time. Fortunately, I've got reason to help me through this. I know I'll make mistakes, but how else can you learn ;) Never be afraid to make a mistake! Ok, let's see. The function of a parade is to show off something. It's for idle enjoyment. You stand and watch as it marches past. This leads me to think that it represents a distraction from what you are doing.
food - knowledge
Rough Meaning
I am not using my daily experiences efficiently to produce forward progress. In fact, I feel like I have hurt my forward movement. I am trying to think of a way to use more of my subconscious mind, but have been distracted. I know that there is knowledge waiting for me if I just make a little more effort. I need to use each to day try and learn something new. Easier said than done!
