Sunday's Dream Log

Dream 1

I was at a gathering and the house was really beautiful. Most of the outside was polished wood and a deep brown color. I sat outside on a patio that extended from the house. There were four others sitting at a table with me. A man i didn't know sat to the left. A mother and her son sat to the right. Across from me sat another woman. The adults had finished playing a game of cards and I held the card deck. I was shuffling them getting ready for the next game. Suddenly the little boy wanted to play too. Only he just wanted to play against me. Everyone laughed, but I took him seriously. The woman across from me said, "You're not going to go easy on him are you?" I answered with, "I never go easy.", smiling. I allowed the woman to shuffle the cards and the game was on! The little boy was a quick learner and very bright. I knew at once that he could beat me at this game even though this was his first time playing. We played on through the day and finally it was time for a break. We stopped and I talked with him about a statue that had been in the backyard. I noticed that it made the boy uncomfortable. "I can't sleep at night with it there." the little boy explained. Everyone laughed, even the boy. I looked at the statue to try and understand why he might be afraid of it. It towered over everything and it faced the house. The statue was of a man, perhaps an early explorer. It didn't seem frightening to me.

Dream 2

I stood outside my home and looked at the roof. There were nails and shingles missing. I knew it was time to replace the roof, and I wanted the roofing people to get here quickly. I'd find the money to pay them somehow.

Dream 3

I was some kind of dealer in a market that was close to a water way. There were ships coming and going. To make real money and outdo my rival dealer I purchases a port (a place for a ship to come and dock and offload merchandise). I was that my rival was heading for the place that I had purchases along the ocean pier and I took out a little marker ( a wooden box with the ID for the port that I had purchased) I was in such a hurry that I left my wallet at my kiosk and ran after him. I saw him jump into the water and I jumped into the water too, and put the marker over my designated port. Satisfied that my port could not be stolen now I made my way back to the kiosk. I took a different route, swimming back instead of walking. The sky grew dark and I saw two little boys that were in a boat fall into the water. I swam as quickly as I could to get to them but could only save one. I urged everyone around the area to shine their lights at the water in hopes of spotting the little boy. He was never found.
