Interpretation - Dream 2
I was riding in a helicopter. The passengers and I were looking out over the land below us and saw a huge wheats fields. The helicopter continued to circle around and suddenly I noticed that the ground had turned to sand and ash. I could see that there was a military air strip below us with hundreds of planes. We needed those planes for some reason! The helicopter landed and I realized that I was armed with an AR-15 rifle. The other passengers were armed similarly and we began to assault the airfield. My team ran in amongst the planes and quietly dispatched enemy machines/terminators. One man in front fell to sniper fire and I tried to get a shot at something on top of a water tower off in the distance. As we approached the inner part of the compound the ground became water and we had to swim our way to the central building. A machine with a yellow helmet popped up and took a shot at a girl in front of me. The machine missed and she responded by throwing a grenade into the water. After the huge explosion I went over to check out the damage. The terminator popped up again and we exchanged fire. I was hit in the neck and sank to the bottom of the water. The terminator was hit in the eye. After a moment I came to the surface motioned the squad to continue forward. There were more snipers on the water tower now and we couldn't move. I took aim but couldn't get a shot. I motioned the squad to get to the objective as I ran forward and jump on the walk ramp to get to the top. I saw a terminator coming down and tried to fire at it. I was out of ammo. I leaped off the ramp of reloaded my gun dodging fire as I hit the ground. I came up on one knee and fired at the terminator who was almost on top of me. I emptied an entire clip into it and it fell. But their was another on behind it! I ran straight to the objective and the terminator was chasing me. I yelled, "The heat! Bring the heat!" and my squad mates grabbed whatever they could and ran to take on the terminator. Most of us were now out of ammo and so we fought the machine hand to hand. I grabbed a huge 4ft wrench and swung it like a broadsword. The terminator finally went down and we cheered.
Symbols
helicopter - represents the physical body, because it carries us around (just like a car carries us around, cars also represent the physical body)
sand - subconscious mind substance. When you are standing on land you are existing with awareness in subconscious mind. The state of the ground can tell you how inviting that place in mind is!
ash - comes from being burnt by fire. Fire represents expansion of ideas or ways of thinking.
military airstrip - an airstrip is a place to rest planes, or helicopters. So this symbol represents an organization.
weapons - all weapons are tools for change, some are just more effective than others!
war - inner conflict.
machines/terminators - a machine would in a dream would represent when someone is performing actions in their lives without reasoning. Like the man who gets up and jogs everyday, but has lost his purpose for doing so and may not even know why he his jogging anymore! (its happened to me a few times) Its just a repetitive task that he performs because, "that's just what I've always done" kind of mentality. Not necessarily good, or bad, but the subconcious mind is drawing your attention to the fact that you need to think about what you're doing!
death - when some living thing dies in your dreams it means that a major change has occurred! If its a person, then some aspect of yourself has been changed in some way. Personally killing the thing in your dream would mean that you were consciously aware of how you were changing this thing in your mind. So, if I destroyed a machine then I am fully aware that in the previous day I recognized a certain way of repetitive thinking and made a conscious decision to change that part of myself.
water - represents conscious life experiences. Think of the song, "row row row your boat gently down the stream. Merrily merrily merrily merrily, life is but a dream." When there's a lot of water in your dreams, such as a flood, it usually means that your conscious life experiences could be making you feel overwhelmed. If you're drinking a glass of water, then that would represent that you are assimilating conscious life experiences into your subconscious mind for permanent storage (after all, the subconscious mind is the storehouse of all wisdom for the soul)
wrench - this is actually a new symbol for me! Yay! Here's how I'm going to figure it out. Remember, that the language of dreams is a language of pictures. In it the form and function of a noun/symbol determines its meaning. So, what are wrenches used for? Well, they are used to fix machines when they break down! So, this would be a tool of mind that can repair repetitive ways of acting or thinking. Since I used it in the dream to destroy a machine, I'd say that I did a little more than repair it! I personally changed a part of myself, and way of acting, that was repetitive, or that I wasn't using reasoning with.
Rough Meaning
I had become aware of a change that needed to be made within my mind about how I was acting in an organization. I was being repetitive and performing without using reasoning. I felt like I was being overwhelmed (I went down in the water and couldn't breath). I rose out of it and used inner authority to change this conscious experience and the repetitive ways that I was acting. At the time I thought about just repairing the repetitive ways, but instead decided to change them all together (ie I destroyed the machine with the wrench instead of fixing it)
Application
My subconscious is telling me to be more present minded and to create a purpose for what I do rather than just follow along old brain pathways. I've felt restless lately, and this shows up as war and inner conflict. I need to be more directed.
